WE HAD APPLIED FOR GST REGISTRATION OF A NON RESIDENT UNDER THE CATEGORY NRTP . THE REGISTRATION WAS GRANTED UNDER THE SAME FOR THE PERIOD 01.04.2021 TO 29.06.2021 ONLY. WE WANT TO GET PERMANENT REGISTRATION FOR THIS , PLEASE GUIDE WITH THE PROCEDURE.

Reply- The certificate of registration issued to a Non resident taxable person is valid for the period specified in the application for Registration or 90 days from the effective date of registration, whichever is earlier. (Refer section 27 of CGST Act)

You can extend your Registration as a Non-Resident Taxable Person once, for an additional period of 90 days, if you apply for extension of registration before the expiry of the initial period of registration granted to you.

Permanent registration is not granted to a Non-resident.
