Section 132 of the CGST Act, 2017— Bail – The applicant sought deletion of condition No. 1 imposed by the CJM vide its order dated 14.12.2022 granting bail to the applicant. The Court of CJM has imposed condition No.1, the applicant shall furnish bank guarantee of an amount of Rs.3 Crore, for a period till the final disposal of the case. The court observed that the applicant is in jail since September, 2022 and during his jail period, his conduct is also good. The application deserves to be allowed by modifying the condition imposed by CJM.

Held that:- The Hon’ble High Court modified the condition to the extent that the applicant is ready and willing to furnish bank guarantee of Rs.1.5 Crore, within period of two months.
